PROJECT DESCRIPTION: KITCHEN REMODEL. This unique kitchen in a multi-family apartment building has a rotunda which was the original stairwell when it was a mansion built in 1850. We opened up the rotunda and built a custom island with a curved concrete top in order to mimic the portion of the wall we removed. The rotunda itself was dark so we added strip lights at the top to light it up at night.
